(NEW!) Tuesday, 9/19 (+ Many More!) Nucleate 2023 Activator Info Sessions. Are you an academic trainee (Post-doc/PhD/MBA/MD/JD) interested in building a life sciences startup? Nucleate NY is looking for passionate biotech founders tackling the biggest challenges in human health and sustainability. Join one of their upcoming info sessions (both in person and virtual) to learn more about the program and how they’re helping train the next generation of life science leaders.
Wednesday, 9/20 New York Hardware Meetup. As part of the climate week festivities, the New York Hardware Meetup will be holding their next event back at the offices of 3D printing company Makelab. This month’s meetup will feature a panel discussion on best practices in sustainable and alternative models in hardware development and manufacturing, moderated by Shelby Thompson, Program Director, For ClimateTech.
Wednesday, 9/20 ECHO Bio-Entrepreneurship Happy Hour. Derek Brand's next ECHO happy hour once again brings together New York's community of biotech entrepreneurs, clinicians, investors, and operators for an informal after-work hang out with community mainstays and hopefully some new faces as well. All are welcome and encouraged to stop by and say hi!
Thursday, 9/21 New Climate Futures. Join NewLab and leading figures from government, industry, and deep tech startups for a day of workshops, inspiring speakers, and networking. Attendees will be able to see first-hand what 50+ entrepreneurs have been working on to create the future of climate innovation. In short — New Climate Futures is the only gathering with real-world outcomes towards local and global climate goals for entrepreneurs, technology developers, policymakers, investors, industry experts, and community leaders.
(NEW!) Thursday, 9/21 NYC Regional Assembly: Biotech Innovation Ecosystem. UIDP is hosting a one-day event to consider the state of the innovation ecosystem in the region and how companies and universities can partner to advance mutual interests and ultimately bolster partnerships. This informational meeting will focus on ways to build on the region’s entrepreneurial base to catalyze future expansion. Attendees will explore the current strengths, opportunities for federal funding, and areas of greatest potential for NYC and the region to flourish.
(NEW!) Thursday, 9/21 Mount Sinai Diversity Innovation Hub Pitch Day. Join the Mount Sinai Diversity Innovation Hub for their annual Pitch Day event, an opportunity for early-stage entrepreneurs to pitch ideas that address racial inequity, health disparities and social determinants of health through innovation and inclusive entrepreneurship. Back in person after several years online, this year's event will be hosted by Company Ventures at Grand Central Tech's beautiful offices.

Join FirstXFounder for an info session to learn more about the Westchester County Biosciences Accelerator (WCBA), including how and when to submit an application, program structures, and what you stand to gain from becoming a 2024 venture.
(NEW!) Sunday, 10/8 SciArt Synapse Mixer. Enjoy an afternoon of meeting artists, scientists, technologists, and cross-disciplinary practitioners —around the world, from wherever you are! The event will include a few organized rounds of blind networking in breakout rooms and then some longer sessions on chosen topics.
(NEW!) Tuesday, 10/31 Hallowed Halls at NYC JLABS. Embrace your inner mad scientist at this one-of-a-kind JLABS event, featuring costumes, tricks, treats, and general ghoulish gathering. Prizes for best costumes will be given out and it’s a great opportunity for the NYC biotech community to get seriously unserious.
