TODAY, 3/27 Women’s Career Journeys in Biotech. Have you ever thought about where a career in biotech could take you? Join Nucleate’s New York chapter and Women in Bio for a panel discussion to close out Women’s History Month and learn about the many available paths described by the women who have lived through them!
Tuesday, 3/28 Careers in Environmental and Sustainable Biotechnology. LifeSci NYC’s next career panel will feature panelists working on exciting ventures in a branch of the life sciences that focuses not just on human health, but planetary health as well. The event will look at the various ways life science innovations can support environmental and sustainability goals, and provide time for Q&A with attendees.
Tuesday, 3/28 The Advancement of Black Women in VC. In recognition of Women’s History Month, BLCK VC and GV are hosting an in-person panel and mixer to examine and raise awareness around what it takes to advance a career in VC, via the diverse perspectives of Black women. They’ll be covering career pathways, investing experiences (especially in economic downturns), and ideas for future advancements in the field. Registration will be open until 3/20!

(NEW!) Wednesday, 3/29 The Future of Scientific Coworking in NYC. Join the InnoLabs team at their new biotech facilities in Long Island City for a panel discussion on the future of coworking in NYC’s science sector, featuring leaders from some of the region’s most notable biotech incubators.
(NEW!) Thursday, 3/30 (+Thursdays thru May) Starta Accelerator Pitch Contests. Join the Starta Accelerator program for their Spring 2023 pitch contests in NYC, as founders hone their startups' pitch in front of a panel of judges, consisting of VCs, angels and industry experts. After the presentations, there will be time for Q&A with the pitching startups followed by networking with other frontrunners, entrepreneurs and investors of the NYC startup scene.
(NEW!) Saturday, 4/1 Business to Biotech. Co-hosted by the BioTech Club at Cornell and Cornell’s EMBA/MS Program, this panel will include those with experience as entrepreneurs within Biotech/large Pharma, & Founders and Advisors. A networking reception will follow.
Tuesday, 4/11 Deep Tech Happy Hour. Join SOSV’s IndieBio and HAX for the April edition of their monthly Deep Tech Happy Hours, bringing together founders, funders, and more from the worlds of biotech, climate tech, hardware, and beyond. Weather permitting, April’s happy hour will be back out and about in NYC, so stay tuned for updates.
