Tuesday, 2/28 Insights with Biotech Founders. Join Nucleate's NYC chapter for the first installment of their next Insights with Biotech Founders series, bringing in founders of biotech companies to speak on a range of scientific and business topics. The first edition will feature Mount Sinai alum Rayees Rahman, who will share his exciting journey from PhD to Y Combinator to raising his Series A this past year.
Tuesday, 2/28 Biotech Speak with Scismic. Biotech professionals and job postings use a lot of abbreviations and words that those seeking to enter the industry may not know. Learning what these terms mean will help you understand the roles you are interested in, which you qualify for, and have better networking or interview conversations. This event will be a primer of all the major industry terminology you should know.
Thursday, 3/2 Careers in Clinical Science. The Tri-I Biotech Club is hosting a panel discussion in Careers in Clinical Science followed by a Q&A session. The discussion will focus on panelists' career path to their current career, what it likes to work in the field, and how did they prepare to get to where they are now.
Thursday, 3/16 NYIT Annual Biotechnology Conference. Back for it’s third year, NYIT’s Biotechnology Conference returns to their New York City campus with a focus on regenerative medicine. The conference will feature talks from local startups, researchers, and leaders from industry, plus a networking reception to follow.
Sunday, 3/19 SciArt Synapse Virtual Mixer. Join the SciArt group for the March edition of their casual afternoon of cross-disciplinary networking and conversation—virtually! Bring a drink, set yourself up with your favorite Zoom background and enjoy an afternoon of meeting artists, scientists, technologists, and cross-disciplinary practitioners. The event will include a few organized rounds of blind networking in breakout rooms and then some longer sessions on chosen topics.
(NEW!) Thursday-Sunday, 4/20-23 MIT Hacking Medicine Grand Hack. Join MIT Hacking Medicine at their annual flagship event in Boston, hosted at The Engine! This is the weekend to brainstorm and build innovative solutions with hundreds of engineers, clinicians, designers, developers and business people. Within the multi-theme event, there is sure to be a healthcare challenge for everyone!
