(NEW!) Wednesday, 11/20 Lab to Impact: Commercialization and Venture Module. Join the Center for Technology Licensing for the second session in their Lab to Impact Series, featuring Nabil Ullah, Senior Investment Analyst at Osage University Partners (OUP), as he presents the critical topic of Founder’s Equity. As a new founder, determining how to allocate equity among co-founders, advisors, and early employees can be challenging. This interactive presentation will offer a comprehensive look at venture capital insights on the economics of university startup formation. Nabil will explore key considerations such as when and why to allocate equity, to whom, founder equity splits, and the potential consequences of poor equity distribution.

(NEW!) Thursday, 12/5 Accelerating BioVenture Innovation Final Pitch Event. Accelerating BioVenture Innovation (ABI) is a 15-week graduate-level course in entrepreneurial training that builds teams around patented technologies from Weill Cornell Medicine and neighboring institutions. The program educates participants on all aspects of launching a company. Teams create pitch decks based on weekly instruction and mentorship from industry experts, and then finalist teams are selected to pitch to a panel of investor judges. The pitches will take place in Uris Auditorium, 1300 York Ave, New York, NY. A networking reception will follow at Griffis Faculty Lounge at the same location.
